There are different modes of transport to choose from for your travel to Burgas, but most probably you will travel by air in order to get there fast.

• By air

Burgas Airport - is located at the Black Sea coast, just 10 km away from Burgas – the biggest city of southeast Bulgaria. It lies at the heart of a highly-developed business community and in direct proximity to leading Bulgarian summer resorts.

How to get there by bus

The Airport Bus stops to Burgas and nearby resorts is located just outside Terminal 1 at the roundabout. There are 2 different stops, the one that is exactly in front of the Airport is for Burgas and the one on the other side of the roundabout is for Nessebar, which you have to go on. The bus ticket price varies between 5.00 BGN and 7.00 BGN depending on the distance to your destination

Route:

South Burgas bus station – Sarafovo – Town Pomorie – neighborhood – Aheloi – Ravda – Nessebar Bus transport is available between the hours of 6:20 and 22:50 H, running every 40 minutes. Tickets are available from the bus fare-collector. The above routes provide information about the main bus stops only.

• By train

The central train station is located within walking distance from city centre and South Bus station, there is a bus and taxi connection to airport and resorts. Daily services are available from Sofia, Plovdiv, Rousse and Veliko Tarnovo.

• By car

Burgas can be reached by Trakia Motorway (A1) from Sofia, E70 from Rousse (and Bucharest) to Varna and then A5 and E 87, E 87 from Constanta, Romania, and E87 or Marica Motorway A4 and then Trakia Motorway A1 from Istanbul, Turkey.

• By bus

There are two bus stations in Burgas, the East bus station is serving the local area and the West bus station is for longer connections to Sofia, Veliko Tarnovo, Burgas, Plovdiv, Istanbul, Greece, Romania, Central and Western Europe and it is located in the city center. They aren't that easy to find, so take a taxi.

• By boat

Burgas has few option for traveling to some of the Islands that are around the city. Cruise terminal is located near city centre, close to train station, walking distance to Sea Garden and beaches. Bus and taxi connection to city centre, bus stations, airport, and resorts.
