На 7 юни 2018 г. /четвъртък/ от 13:15 часа в зала 300 на ИЯИЯЕ Стефанос Катмадас (КУ Льовен, Белгия) ще изнесе семинар на тема:

"Black holes under the microscope".

Резюме:

The concepts of black hole temperature, entropy and the information paradox will be introduced briefly. We then consider the realisation of black holes in string theory and the origin of black hole entropy, leading to the question of the possible effective description of the microstates in terms of (super-) gravity theories. Finally, we review the main techniques used to construct such microstate geometries as solutions to the (super-) Einstein equations.
