Семинар на 16.02.2018 г.

 

На 16 февруари 2018 г. /петък/, от 13:15 ч. в зала 300 на ИЯИЯЕ Валентин Рейс (Милано-Бикока, Италия) ще изнесе семинар на тема:

"Black hole entropy, beyond Bekenstein-Hawking".

Резюме:

One of the major theoretical discoveries of the 20th century is the fact that black holes carry entropy. It was shown by Bekenstein and Hawking using semi-classical methods that this entropy is proportional to the area of their event horizon. But can we go beyond the semi-classical approximation? This requires an understanding of the microscopic degrees of freedom making up black holes. Exploring this question therefore allows us to gather hints regarding the quantum nature of gravitational objects. In this talk, I will survey some recent advances in quantum field theory and string theory which have made such progress possible for a special class of supersymmetric black holes.
