INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON WWER FUEL PERFORMANCE, MODELLING AND EXPERIMENTAL SUPPORT

11th INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON WWER FUEL PERFORMANCE, MODELLING AND EXPERIMENTAL SUPPORT
in co-operation with the International Atomic Energy Agency

26 September – 03 October 2015, Hotel Grifid Bolero, Golden Sands Resort, Varna, Bulgaria

The WWER fuel conference is the eleventh in a biennial series that have been organized by INRNE-BAS in cooperation with IAEA and traditionally supported by the Russian Fuel Company "TVEL". The Conference has provided a common forum for better understanding of fuel modeling and performance amongst the nuclear fuel community. The primary objective is to bring together leading specialists in the field from around the world to analyze advances in nuclear fuel management technology and to use the findings.

The successful international meetings on WWER fuel, held from 1994 up to 2013 proved their usefulness and contribution to the enhancement of the safety and reliability of the WWER reactors operated over the world. In this regard, the expected participation of the Russian experts organized by TVEL Company - the Russian manufacturer of nuclear fuel and their presentations at the Conference are highly appreciated and expected.

IAEA upon TWGFPT recommendation will organize a Technical Meeting “Achieving zero fuel failure rates: challenges and perspectives” 1 – 2 October 2015, Varna, Bulgaria in conjunction with the 11-th International Conference on WWER Fuel Performance, Modelling and Experimental Support.
